Polyphase circuit
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004409
An electrical circuit that uses multiple alternating current (AC) voltages, typically three, which are phase-shifted relative to each other. This arrangement allows for the transmission of more power with less conductor material compared to a single-phase system. Three-phase power is the most common form of polyphase system used for electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.
