Neutral conductor
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007131
A circuit conductor that carries current in an alternating current (AC) system, typically returning current from the load to the source. It is normally maintained at or near ground potential and provides the return path for unbalanced current in a multi-phase system. In a single-phase system, it completes the circuit with the live conductor.
