Borrowed neutral

A wiring practice where a neutral conductor from one electrical circuit is used to complete another, separate circuit. This practice is generally unsafe and violates electrical codes because it can lead to overloaded neutral wires and unexpected current paths. It can create a shock hazard or fire risk.
