Positive drainage

The design and construction of surfaces, such as roofs or paved areas, to effectively shed water away from a structure. This involves creating a continuous slope that directs water towards drains, gutters, or the perimeter of the building. A minimum slope of 1/4 inch per foot is often specified for positive roof drainage.
