Pouf

A gathered or puffed-out section of fabric used as a decorative element in garments or home furnishings. It is created by bunching a large piece of fabric and securing it, resulting in a voluminous, rounded shape. In dressmaking, poufs are found on sleeves, skirts, or as part of a bustle, while in interiors they form drapery valances or upholstered footstools.
