Piping

A decorative trim consisting of a cord or strip of fabric folded and inserted into a seam, creating a raised edge. In textile manufacturing, piping is used to define edges, add structural integrity, or provide a contrasting design element on garments, upholstery, and accessories. It is often made from the same or a complementary fabric to the main material.
