Ladder stitch
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003227
A hand-sewing technique used to create an invisible seam, often for closing openings in stuffed items or joining two folded edges of fabric. The needle passes alternately between the folded edges, picking up a small amount of fabric from each side. When the thread is pulled taut, the stitches disappear into the folds, creating a clean finish.
