Cable
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000899
A knitting pattern characterized by intertwined strands of stitches that appear to cross over each other, creating a raised, rope-like texture on the fabric surface. This effect is achieved by temporarily holding stitches on a cable needle and knitting them out of sequence. Cable patterns add thickness, warmth, and decorative interest to knitted garments like sweaters and blankets.
