Cable

An insulated wire or bundle of wires used to transmit electrical power or data signals to and from meteorological instruments. Cables connect sensors on a weather tower to a central data logger, link a tethersonde to its ground station, or provide power to remote automated weather stations. The physical properties of the cable, such as its strength and weather resistance, are matched to the specific environmental demands of the installation.
