Electrical thermometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005315
A device that measures temperature by sensing changes in the electrical properties of a material, such as resistance or voltage, as a function of temperature. Common types include resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermocouples. These thermometers offer high accuracy and are frequently used in meteorological instruments like radiosondes and automated weather stations.
