Thermistor thermometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009601
A type of thermometer that measures temperature by detecting changes in the electrical resistance of a semiconductor material, known as a thermistor. The resistance of a thermistor changes significantly and predictably with temperature, allowing for precise measurements. These devices are widely used in meteorological instruments due to their high sensitivity and rapid response time.
