Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009519
An instrument that measures temperature at a distance and transmits the reading to a convenient or central location. It consists of a temperature sensor, such as a thermistor or resistance temperature detector, connected by a physical cable or wireless link to a display unit.
