Albedometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003425
An instrument designed to measure the albedo of a surface, which is the fraction of incident solar radiation reflected by that surface. It typically consists of two pyranometers, one facing upward to measure incoming radiation and one facing downward to measure reflected radiation. The ratio of the downward-facing sensor's reading to the upward-facing sensor's reading provides the albedo value.
