Cloud albedo
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004404
The fraction of incident solar radiation that is reflected back to space by clouds. This property is influenced by cloud type, thickness, droplet size distribution, and liquid water content. High cloud albedo, particularly from low-level stratocumulus clouds, contributes to a cooling effect on the Earth's surface.
