Plane albedo
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007960
The ratio of the radiant energy reflected by a flat surface to the total radiant energy incident upon it. This value represents the reflectivity of a two-dimensional surface, such as a cloud layer or a land surface, for a specific angle of incidence. It differs from spherical or planetary albedo, which considers reflection from a three-dimensional body.
