Bihemispherical reflectance
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003906
The ratio of the radiant flux reflected by a surface to the radiant flux incident upon it, integrated over all angles of incidence and reflection. This measurement characterizes how a surface reflects light from an entire hemisphere of incoming directions into an entire hemisphere of outgoing directions. It is a fundamental property used in remote sensing to understand surface energy budgets and vegetation health.
