Net pyrradiometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007512
An instrument designed to measure the net all-wave radiation, which is the algebraic sum of incoming and outgoing shortwave and longwave radiation fluxes at a surface. It typically consists of two thermopile sensors, one facing upward and one facing downward, covered by domes transparent to both solar and terrestrial radiation. This device provides a direct measurement of the total radiative energy exchange at the Earth's surface.
