Net terrestrial radiation

The difference between the outgoing longwave radiation emitted by the Earth's surface and atmosphere and the downward longwave radiation absorbed from the atmosphere. This value represents the net energy exchange in the infrared spectrum at a given location. It is a component of the Earth's overall radiation budget.
