Net radiometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007514
An instrument that measures the net radiation balance, representing the difference between all incoming and outgoing radiation fluxes at a surface. This includes both shortwave (solar) and longwave (terrestrial) radiation components. It provides a direct measure of the total radiative energy available for processes such as evaporation, sensible heat transfer, and ground heat flux.
