Pyrradiometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010697
An instrument that measures the total hemispherical radiation, encompassing both shortwave (solar) and longwave (terrestrial) radiation from all directions. It typically uses a thermopile sensor with a transparent dome that allows both types of radiation to pass through. This device is used in micrometeorology to assess the net radiation balance at a surface.
