Cable needle
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000902
A short, often U-shaped or curved, auxiliary needle used in knitting to hold stitches temporarily while other stitches are worked. This allows for the creation of twisted or crossed patterns, known as cable stitches, which add texture and dimension to knitted fabrics. The cable needle prevents the held stitches from unraveling during the process.
