A knitting abbreviation for slip, slip, knit, a decrease that leans to the left. Two stitches are slipped one at a time knitwise, then the left needle is inserted into the fronts of both slipped stitches from left to right and they are knitted together. It is the mirror image of k2tog, the right-leaning decrease, and the two are paired to shape garments symmetrically.
