Princess cut
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004505
A style of garment construction, particularly for dresses and coats, characterized by long, continuous seams that run from the shoulder or armhole down to the hem, eliminating the need for waistline seams. These vertical seams, known as princess seams, allow for shaping and fitting the garment closely to the body's contours. This cut creates a flattering, elongated silhouette without darts.
