Wrong side

The back of a piece of fabric that is not intended to be seen in the final product, where the weave or print may appear less defined. Seams, darts, and other construction details are visible on this side of a garment. For some fabrics, such as certain satins or denims, the wrong side is sometimes used as the fashion side for a different texture or color effect.
