A designation given to certain passengers, cargo, or services that receive preferential treatment in terms of boarding, handling, or scheduling. This can include expedited security checks, earlier access to aircraft or trains, or faster processing of luggage. Airlines often offer priority boarding to business class passengers or frequent flyers.
