The percentage of moisture present in a textile material after it has been dried to a constant weight and then exposed to a standard atmosphere. This measurement indicates the material's ability to absorb and retain water vapor from the air. Standard atmospheric conditions for testing textile regain are 65% relative humidity and 20 degrees Celsius.
