Refreshable
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004753
Describing a type of electronic memory or display that requires its contents to be periodically rewritten to avoid data loss. This process counteracts the natural decay of the stored state, such as the gradual discharge of capacitors in Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) or the fading of phosphors on a screen. The refresh rate, measured in hertz (Hz), specifies how many times per second the content is updated to maintain its integrity and visual stability.
