Repeater

An electronic device that receives a signal, amplifies it, and retransmits it to extend the range of a communication network. Repeaters are used in both wired and wireless systems to overcome signal degradation due to distance or obstacles. In Wi-Fi networks, a repeater can extend coverage to areas with weak signals.
