Rollbock
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004910
A specialized bogie or truck used on railways to transport a railcar of one track gauge over tracks of a different gauge. The railcar's wheels are positioned onto the Rollbock, which then serves as the interface with the new track, eliminating the need to transfer the cargo itself. This system is primarily found in European rail networks where standard gauge and narrow gauge lines interconnect.
