A railway track gauge that is wider than the 1,435 mm (4 feet 8.5 inches) standard gauge. Several broad gauges are in use globally, including the 1,676 mm Indian gauge, the 1,668 mm Iberian gauge, and the 1,520 mm Russian gauge.
