Round-trip time

The duration required for a signal or data packet to travel from a source to a destination and for an acknowledgment of its receipt to return to the source. This measurement includes propagation delays, processing delays at intermediate nodes, and queuing delays. Round-trip time is a key metric for network performance and latency.
