Delay line
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001635
A component designed to introduce a specific time delay into an electrical signal or acoustic wave. This delay can be achieved through physical length, such as a coiled cable, or electronically using capacitors and inductors. Delay lines are used in applications like radar systems for range measurement, audio processing for echo effects, and digital circuits for timing synchronization, with delays ranging from nanoseconds to milliseconds.
