Trombone
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006201
A U-shaped section of waveguide or transmission line that can be adjusted in length to introduce a variable phase shift or time delay into a microwave signal. The sliding mechanism allows the physical path length of the signal to be changed without interrupting the connection. These devices are used in microwave circuits for tuning, impedance matching, and creating adjustable delay lines.
