Roundness

A geometric tolerance that defines how closely a surface of revolution, such as a cylinder or sphere, conforms to a true circle in a given cross-section. It measures the deviation from a perfect circular form without regard to the size or location of the feature. Roundness is often measured using a roundness measuring instrument with a rotating spindle.
