Interaxis

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007054

Relating to the spatial relationship, distance, or coordination between two or more axes of motion in a robotic or automated system. The term describes how the movements of separate axes, such as those on a multi-axis robot arm or a CNC machine, are synchronized and controlled relative to one another. Precise interaxis calibration is required for the system to perform accurate path-following, positioning, and complex coordinated movements without collision or positioning errors.
