Rotor

The rotating component of an electrical machine, such as a motor or generator, or a mechanical device like a turbine or pump. In an electric motor, the rotor interacts with the magnetic field of the stator to produce torque and rotational motion. It is typically mounted on a shaft and supported by bearings.
