Run-flat

Describing a type of tire designed with reinforced sidewalls or an internal support system that allows it to be driven for a limited distance after a puncture. This technology eliminates the immediate need to change a flat tire on the roadside. Run-flat tires typically have a maximum speed and distance rating when punctured, such as 50 miles at 50 mph.
