GAWR

An abbreviation for Gross Axle Weight Rating, which is the maximum weight that a single axle (front or rear) of a vehicle is designed to carry. This rating includes the weight of the axle itself, the wheels, tires, brakes, and a share of the vehicle's load. Exceeding the GAWR can lead to structural damage, tire failure, and unsafe handling.
