To exceed the maximum permissible weight or capacity for which a vehicle or its components are designed. This can apply to the total vehicle weight, individual axle loads, or the cargo capacity. Overloading a vehicle compromises its handling, braking performance, and structural integrity, and is often illegal, leading to fines and safety hazards.
