A mechanical linkage in a helicopter's rotor system that connects the rotating swashplate to the non-rotating main rotor mast. Its primary function is to transfer the engine's torque from the mast to the rotor hub and blades, forcing them to turn at the same speed as the mast. This component, also called a torque link, prevents the swashplate from rotating with the main rotor assembly.
