Seat belt

A safety restraint system designed to secure a vehicle occupant to their seat, preventing them from being ejected or striking interior surfaces during a collision or sudden stop. Modern seat belts are typically three-point restraints, consisting of a lap belt and a shoulder belt. Wearing a seat belt is legally mandated in most countries.
