Shock absorber

A mechanical component designed to dampen oscillations and dissipate kinetic energy within a suspension system. It converts the kinetic energy of suspension movement into thermal energy, which is then dissipated. This device typically consists of a piston moving within a cylinder filled with hydraulic fluid, controlling the rate of compression and rebound.
