Describing a pipe, conduit, or cable that is enclosed within a larger, protective pipe or casing. This outer layer, known as a sleeve, provides protection against damage, allows for future replacement, or creates a pathway through a structural element. Sleeves are commonly made of PVC, steel, or other durable materials.
