Soap off

A process in textile finishing where residual sizing agents, lubricants, or other processing chemicals are removed from fabric using a soap or detergent solution. This step is performed after weaving or dyeing to improve the fabric's feel, absorbency, and appearance. Effective soaping off prevents issues such as stiffness, uneven dyeing, or skin irritation from chemical residues.
