Piece-dye
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004301
To color a textile fabric after it has been woven or knitted, but before it is cut and sewn into a finished product. This method allows for greater flexibility in color selection based on market demand, as the undyed fabric can be stored and dyed later. It contrasts with yarn-dyeing or fiber-dyeing, where color is applied at an earlier stage of production.
