Squib

A small pyrotechnic device used in automotive safety systems, primarily to deploy airbags or activate seatbelt pretensioners. When an impact sensor detects a collision, an electrical signal ignites the squib, which rapidly generates gas to inflate the airbag. These devices are single-use and require careful handling.
