Straight-pipe

A modification to a vehicle's exhaust system where mufflers, catalytic converters, and resonators are removed, resulting in a direct, unobstructed path for exhaust gases. This alteration increases exhaust noise and can slightly improve engine performance by reducing back pressure. However, it often violates noise and emissions regulations in many jurisdictions.
