Maniverter
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003518
An automotive exhaust component that integrates the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter into a single assembly. This design places the catalytic converter closer to the engine's exhaust ports, allowing it to reach its effective operating temperature more quickly after a cold start. Maniverters are common in modern vehicles to meet stringent emissions regulations, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Tier 3 standards.
