EGR

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001982

A nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduction technique used in most gasoline and diesel engines. It works by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders, which lowers the combustion temperature and reduces the formation of NOx. The EGR valve controls the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold.
