Positive Crankcase Ventilation, a system in internal combustion engines designed to remove harmful blow-by gases from the crankcase. These gases, primarily unburnt fuel and exhaust, are routed back into the intake manifold to be re-burned in the combustion chambers. The PCV valve regulates this flow, preventing pressure buildup and reducing emissions.
